Born in Pondicherry (India), Ravy Magnifique comes to France at the 70s. After studying the tradition of Ivory Coast and Guinea he studies the Cuban music. Back to his indian roots, he studies percussion with Ustad Keramatulakhan, Suramayan, El Sekar. His musical encounter with George Brown helps him to discover percussion through the universe of Jazz music. He works with Delmar Brown, Chico Freeman, Glenn Ferris, Archie Shepp.
